Prof Emily Cross (Cognitive and Social Neuroscience, D-GESS) and film-maker Manuel Hendry speak about their work and research in the context of the exhibition AAA Experiments. They present their joint work on the interactive performance Friendly Fire at the Shrink, in which the human need for closeness is hijacked by an artificial ‘intelligence’. Hendry will offer insights into the artistic research process and the background of the work, while Cross will present her work in the field of social neuroscience of robots and its connection to the installation.

The evening will be moderated by Adrian Notz; the discussion shall take place in English.

These talks are public and free; they take place on Thursdays between the 10 October and 19 December 2024, starting each week at 7 pm.
