Selected by... is a format we usually use to present a selection of books that artists exhibiting at Kunsthalle have recommended. By her own admission Fraser only reads «airport bookshop books» to send herself to sleep. Instead she proposed several magazines.

These magazines are more than just reading material for Jacqueline Fraser. She uses editorial and advertising images as raw material for collages which, in turn, become part of her sculpture. So these suggestions are more than a reading tip: they are a source of artistic engagement with contemporary culture. You could call it «Jacqueline Fraser décomposée».
