Amazing early color photography based on an equally amazing philanthropic concept: knowledge of the world’s cultures through exchange. It includes a film about Albert Kahn, and you may realize that all these billionaires out there could do something more meaningful than buying art for 10 or 100 million. Details

A contemporary way by the Israeli artist to use photography and film to show that there are ways to think about a political situation in different terms. Never heard about Concrete Photography? Generative Photography? Welcome to the club. At Scheublin + Bak a selection of pictures and book introduce you to this forgotten or neglected chapter in the history of art and photography. Sophie Nys – Sitting Is the New Smoking, Binz39, until July 11, 2015
The show by the Belgian artist Sophie Nys mainly consists of a small book with casual photographs showing Haim Stainbach's exhibition at Kunsthalle Zürich in 2014. These are no classical views, but the ones of a guard sitting on a chair taking pictures when no visitors are around. There is emptiness, art does not seem alive, time goes by slowly and boredom seems inevitable. Here, the working for art becomes the making of art. Or is it the other way around?
