COOL-TUR 2022
In collaboration with the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich
09:00–16:00
You don't have to travel far to discover new things! We are going to examine the music of Japanese composer Hosokawa and the exhibition DYOR at Kunsthalle Zürich, using both as inspiration for our own future world. We will collect sounds made with everyday objects and the tones of classical musical instruments to create our own music in the composition workshop. Using our voices and recorded sounds we will transform spaces at Kunsthalle Zürich and the Tonhalle; with the help of lighting and sculptures we create ourselves, we can create our own space for the future. At the end of the week friends and family are invited to Kunsthalle Zürich to see our vision of the future among other works of contemporary art.
At the end of the week you can take your sculptures and music home. We're looking forward to seeing you!
For information: during the course we will use apps that have been developed specially for creative work with sound. Children do not need to play a musical instrument in order to take part.
For children from 9-12 years old
