There's no better occasion to discover the boundless diversity of Zurich's museums as the Long Night of Museums, when exhibitions, collections and a varied supporting programme turn the night into day. Whether art, architecture, design and creation, cultural history, non-European cultures, natural science, plants and animals – the spectrum offers something for every interest.

On the night of the 5 September Kunsthalle Zürich is open until 2 am.

At Löwenbräukunst (where Kunsthalle Zürich, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst and Museum Haus Konstruktiv are participating) a varied programme awaits you with workshops for all, exhibition tours, concerts, tasty food from LOI vegetarian bistro and great surprises. We're looking forward to seeing you!

The programme at Kunsthalle Zürich:

6 pm–2 am
Exhibition: Henrik Olesen, Copies of real-life objects, tools and things

6.30–8.30 pm
Paper weaving workshop with Alba Sulser and the Kunsthalle Zürich art mediation team
Get away from the world wide web and weave instead at Studio Kunsthalle Zürich!

In times of breakneck speed, how can we digest information, images and materials? One way to do so is to sit, create together and exchange ideas. Away from the world wide web, spinning instead an analogue web, weaving together paper strips so something new (or old) emerges. This is not performance-driven crafting, instead we’ll see where and how being creative can be fun. We’ll offer a variety of suggestions of how dividing, collaging and cutting might go. Bring your own refuse paper and photos if you wish.

6.45–7.15 pm
Tour of Henrik Olesen’s exhibition with Fanny Hauser, Director and Curator, Kunsthalle Zürich

8.45–9.15 pm
Tour of Henrik Olesen’s exhibition with Ariane Roth, art historian and mediator

9.45–10.15 pm
Tour of Henrik Olesen’s exhibition with Ariane Roth, art historian and mediator

10.15–10.45 pm
Concert: AMOS ANGELES accompanied by FAI BABA
Who am I? Who are you?
ANICCA is a collection of songs and fragments about love, friendship, home, loss and the art of letting go. Between English and Swiss German, guitar tone and recurring questions, a musical dialogue emerges about what unites and divides us. Sometimes light, sometimes melancholic, absurd and continually in search of what remains, when everything changes.

11.30 pm–midnight
Concert: AMOS ANGELES accompanied by FAI BABA
Who am I? Who are you? Songs about what remains when everything changes.
