F+F Diplomausstellung goes Kunsthalle Zürich

50 Jahre F+F

50 years of F+F! Art and design have been taught in practice-oriented exchange between students and professionals at the F+F school since 1971.

To celebrate the anniversary, the F+F brings their 2021 graduation shows out of the school. In all, 19 students from the film, photography, art, fashion design and visual design courses bring their final projects from the F+F spaces into Kunsthalle Zürich. Daily thematic events will accompany the exhibition, opening up a space for discussion and encounters – in keeping with the school’s ethos, that learning is a life-long creative exchange.

The F+F was founded in 1971 when the art class seceded from the then Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich (Zürich Art School). The two Fs relate to the course still taught today: Form & Farbe (form and colour), the fundamental elements of any design. The new school aimed to do more than establish an independent, modern art education. In the past decades what F+F offers has grown, yet to this day F+F is both an independent laboratory for contemporary design and creative studies and an indispensible meeting point for a lively creative scene.
