Die Lange Nacht der Zürcher Museen

After a year's break, we are delighted that the LANGE NACHT DER ZÜRCHER MUSEEN (Long Night of Zürich Museums) will take place once more on Saturday 4 September. We are part of it! You can find the Kunsthalle Zürich (and Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst) programme here under «Löwenbräukunst».

This year ticket sales for the museums night take place exclusively online, via Eventfrog. We recommend you purchase your ticket in advance. A ticket includes access to public transport in Zürich zone 110 on the day of the event. You can nonetheless purchase your ticket on the night using a smart phone. Please note: there shall not be a sales counter on the night.

The Lange Nacht begins at 6pm on 4 September and our doors will be open until 2am on 5 September. A varied and dynamic programme awaits at Löwenbräukunst!

The programme in Löwenbräukunst:

6pm–2am
Your almost last chance to see the exhibitions Minuet of Manners from Lorenza Longhi at Kunsthalle Zürich (3rd floor) and Yael David's One is always a plural at Migros Museum (ground floor). You can also visit our bookshop exhibition Das Zittern des Zufalls in Zeiten der Anmassung. How are you? A bookshop at the end of solitude on the 2nd floor.

6-10pm
Anniversary photo wall
Celebrate 25 years of Löwenbräukunst with us and take an extra-special selfie home. In collaboration with artist collective Nusser Glazova.

6.20-6.40pm, 7-7.20pm, 8-8.20pm, 9-9.20pm
Dance workshop: Modern Minuet
An instant dance workshop led by Franka Rosalie Feder inspired by Lorenza Longhi's exhibition at Kunsthalle Zürich.

Drop-in workshop: Drawing in Motion
Movements are translated into abstract drawings. We observe bodies in movement in dialogue with art and mark this on paper.
Performers: Hae Yeon Lim (performer and yoga and Pilates teacher), Manuela Runge (theatre and dance teacher)

STUDIO Silkscreen Station
An array of appealing silkscreen designs await you in the STUDIO at Kunsthalle Zürich on the 2nd floor. Bring your own pillowcase, t-shirt or other piece of clothing and we will help you upcycle it artfully with a colourful print.

Guided tour: a short introduction to the two current Kunsthalle Zürich exhibitions. Maximum 20 participants.

Günzburger X Bar am Wasser X VOLUMES X Kunsthalle Zürich Performance
An artist and a barman work with the same materials. An edition emerges throughout the evening, on paper and in a glass. We need your help drinking.
With Michael Günzburger and in collaboration with VOLUMES Art Publishing Days.
