Für die Gönnerinnen und Gönner der Kunsthalle Zürich hat Rob Pruitt exklusiv die Jahresgabe 2017 gestaltet. Es ist ein Sack, wie man ihn in den Strassen New Yorks findet, dort angefüllt mit Sand. Denn diese Säcke dienen dazu, Strassenschilder zu beschweren, damit sie bei Wind und Wetter aufrecht und standfest bleiben. Es sind Helfer des Alltags, die keiner je sieht, denen Pruitt jetzt aber zu verdienter Ehre verhilft. Er hat insgesamt acht verschiedene Säcke entworfen und mit Sätzen zum Thema Sand versehen. Wie wir alle wissen: wer Sand sagt, meint damit Zeit... und genau darum handeln die von Pruitt ausgewählten acht Zitate:
